Full-Time Music Teacher (Strings)
Responsibilities:
- Plan curriculum and deliver effective innovative teaching
- Create lesson plans and classroom management plan
- Acquire and/or create appropriate teaching materials and resources
- Teach music theory, aural and rhythm skills, and practical techniques in each music programme
- Assess students’ abilities and progress by providing feedback and writing reports
Requirements:
- Minimum diploma or higher in music qualification with Violin or Cello as the principal instrument
- Able to play and demonstrate high technical proficiency in Violin or Cello
- Must be able to travel to different locations (schools) within Singapore
- At least 2 – 4 years of experience in music teaching is an advantage
- The ability to converse in English well is essential for communicating in a diverse classroom setting
- May need to carry heavy teaching materials such as books and posters
- Must be able to travel to different locations within Singapore
Entry-level applicants in music studies with/without teaching experience are welcome to apply.


Freelance Music Instructor (Strings)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instrumental music enrichment programmes and/or instrumental lessons for students in Strings Ensemble CCA
- Train students in fundamental skills: technique, aural, theory, sight-reading, performance
- Prepare students for schools’ performances and/or competitions tied to the projects
- Handle classroom management and end-of-project assessment matters
Requirements:
- Minimum ABRSM / Trinity / LCM Practical of Grade 8 or relevant
- Registered in MOE-IRS with AMIS as one of the specialisation
- Able to play and demonstrate at least intermediate proficiency in one of the strings instrument
- At least 2 – 4 years of experience in teaching music in schools
- Must be able to travel to different locations within Singapore
Good-to-have:
- Work well with people of all ages, especially primary and secondary school students
- Able to work independently
- Passionate about teaching and imparting music skills
